Information this site collects and why we use it
1. Site tracking
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.
Although Google Analytics records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. Google Analytics also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor.
3. Our blog – the Nub
Comments on our Nub articles is disabled; we therefore do not record any comments from those reading our Nubs.
4. Contacting us
When you contact us using our online contact form we ask for your email address and name. This information is sent via a third party called ContactForm 7 and is sent via a secure server connection to us. The information you provide helps us to process your message and reply to you and will not be shared with third parties unless with your explicit consent. You can request at any time for data about you that is held by us to be deleted.
If you are a member, we keep a record of your name, email address, Unite membership number and region of the UK you are from in our records. This is kept so that we can maintain an accurate record of our members and communicate union updates to you.
If you have any concerns about how this website might user your data, please contact us.
